2 Corinthians 4:18 from the New Testament translated into Marathi by R H Kelkar
I just finished reading the Gospel According to John in Marathi by late R.H. Kelkar. To read the inspiring story of Jesus in Marathi is a moving experience: I highly recommend it to all. I am totally in awe of late R.H. Kelkar’s scholarship. To translate an ancient text from Greek into metaphoric Marathi must be a daunting task, but despite the limited resources available to him, the late translator accomplished it single-handedly! Note that the King James version of the Bible (1611 CE) was the work of a Royal Committee, and it took this committee years to finish the job. Now Prof. R. R. Kelkar has set up these wonderful blogs so that we can all know Jesus; we owe him a debt of gratitude. One last word: I urge all of you to read in Marathi the 13th chapter of 1 Corinthian; it will transform you!
